Paying monthly puts all of that into one fixed price, so a small business can start selling online properly without finding the money up front.
You are not handed a template and left to it. Every shop is designed for the business it belongs to, your products are added for you, and you get your own login to change products, prices and pages yourself whenever you like. Orders land in your dashboard with the customer's details and how they chose to pay.

Every product gets its own page: one big picture with thumbnails, the price and the details beside it, and related products underneath, so a customer who came for one thing finds the others.
In the basket your customer chooses delivery or collection and how they want to pay. The delivery charges are the ones you set, and the ways to pay are the ones you switch on.
The order lands in your dashboard with everything you need to send it, and two emails go out: one to you with the order, and one to your customer to say you have it.

Pay monthly ecommerce website questions
Is there anything to pay up front for a pay monthly ecommerce website?
No. There is no set-up fee and no deposit. You pay your first month when you buy, and the same each month after that.
What does the monthly price cover?
Designing and building your shop, writing its pages, adding your products, and then looking after it: hosting, your web address, your business email, our support, two hours of changes a month, and card payments switched on through your own Stripe account.
How long is the contract?
12 months from your first payment. After that it carries on month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days' written notice.
Who do card payments go to?
Straight to you. Card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay are taken through your own Stripe account, which we help you open and connect as part of the price. The money never passes through us.
Can I change my products and prices myself?
Yes. You get your own login and can add products, change prices and edit every page whenever you like. If you would rather we did it, two hours of changes a month are included.
Can I charge for delivery?
Yes. You set your own delivery charges, a level above which delivery is free if you want one, and whether customers can collect from you instead.
Who adds the products?
We do, as part of the price. Send them however suits you: a spreadsheet, your old website, or photos with names and prices.
Can I sell to the trade as well as the public?
Yes, with Wholesale at £229 a month. Trade customers apply for an account and you approve them. Once they log in they see their own trade prices and can pay on account, on the terms you set.
Can I use my own web address?
Yes. If you have one, we connect it and renew it at no extra cost. If not, we help you choose one and buy it for you, free for the first year.
Do I own my shop?
Your words, your pictures, your products and your web address are yours. The system the shop runs on is ours, and looking after it is what the monthly price pays for. If you ever leave, your web address is transferred to you free of charge.
How long does it take?
Your shop is live within a week of your checklist coming back to us, with your products added.
Do the prices include VAT?
No. The prices are shown without VAT, and VAT at 20% is added when you pay.
