Pricing FAQs
Do you look after the website for me?+
Yes. It's all included — we keep it online, safe and backed up, renew your web address and look after your email. If you already have a website somewhere else, a Care plan from £45 a month does the same for it.
What does hosting mean?+
Every website has to live somewhere online so people can visit it. That's hosting. We do it for you and keep it safe and backed up.
Can I use my own web address?+
Yes. If you already have one, like yourbusiness.co.uk, we'll connect it and renew it for you at no extra cost. If you haven't got one, we'll help you choose it and buy it for you — free for the first year, then £50 a year, spread across your monthly payments.
Is there a minimum term?+
Monthly plans run for a minimum of 12 months. After that your plan carries on month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice.
Are there any hidden costs?+
No. There's no set-up fee on the monthly plans, and anything extra is always quoted and agreed with you first.
Do your prices include VAT?+
Prices are shown without VAT. VAT at 20% is added at checkout.
I'm already a Mediatopia client — does this apply to me?+
These prices are for new clients. If you're already with us, you stay on the plan and price we agreed.
Who writes the words on my website?+
We do, and it's included. You fill in a short checklist about your business, and we write every page from it — with the on-page SEO built in, which is what helps you get found on Google. If you already have wording you're happy with, send it over and we'll use yours instead.
Do I need a logo?+
If you have one, send it and we'll use it. If you haven't, we can design one for you — tell us what you have in mind and we'll price it, and it goes on your next monthly payment.
What happens after I buy?+
You'll get a short checklist asking about your business, your pages, your pictures and anything you already have. Fill it in whenever suits you and we fill in the gaps. Nothing else is needed from you.
How long until my website is live?+
Within a week of your checklist coming back to us. If you need it faster we can do it in two days for an extra charge, agreed with you first.
What if I don't like the design?+
You get unlimited changes until you're happy with it. We don't count rounds and we don't charge for them — the design isn't finished until you say it is.
Do I own my website?+
Your words, your pictures, your logo and your web address are yours, and you can take them with you at any time. The system your website runs on is ours — we host it, keep it safe and look after it for your monthly price. If you ever leave, your web address is transferred to you free of charge, and we can provide a copy of your website for another provider, quoted at the time.
